Overview

The website decant-parfum.ro (the “Site”) is operated by THE AXN SRL, headquartered at Calea Moșilor, Nr 88, Sc F, Ap 82, Bucharest, Romania, Tax ID (CUI) 51514286, Trade Register No. J2025021460006 (trade name: Decant Parfum). In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Decant Parfum / THE AXN SRL, and “you” or the “Customer” refers to anyone who visits the Site or places an order.

By visiting the Site and/or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to the policies they refer to. Please read them carefully before using the Site.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, the e-commerce platform that lets us offer you our products.

1. Terms of use

To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity. You may not use the Site or our products for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose, transmit viruses or destructive code, or interfere with the operation of the Site. Any breach of these Terms may result in your access to our services being restricted.

Products are for personal use only. We reserve the right to limit the quantities ordered and to refuse orders that, by volume or frequency, suggest they are meant for resale.

2. About our products

• What a decant is. A decant is an amount of original perfume transferred by hand from the manufacturer’s bottle into a 2, 3, 5 or 10 ml glass atomizer. A decant does not include the manufacturer’s bottle, box or original packaging.
• Authenticity. All the perfumes we make decants from are original, bought from authorised distributors. We do not dilute or blend them, and we do not sell imitations or “inspired by” perfumes.
• Trademarks. Decant Parfum is an independent shop. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the perfume houses whose products we present. Perfume names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the original products the decants come from.
• Images and descriptions. Images of bottles are for presentation only. Fragrance notes and descriptions are a guide only. The colour of a perfume may vary slightly between production batches of the same perfume.
• Volume. The volume shown is the nominal amount of perfume filled into the atomizer. A small amount of liquid may remain in the atomizer tube and cannot be sprayed, as with any spray bottle.
• How it wears. How a perfume develops, how long it lasts and how strong it is depend on skin type, climate and the amount applied.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in your local currency and include VAT and all other applicable taxes. The delivery cost is shown separately at checkout, before payment. The price that applies to an order is the one displayed when you place it.

We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice; changes do not affect orders that have already been confirmed. In the case of an obvious pricing or description error, we will contact you before dispatch and you can choose between confirming the order at the correct price and cancelling it, with a full refund of the amounts paid.

4. Placing an order and forming the contract

Placing an order on the Site is an offer to buy. The sales contract is concluded when you receive the order confirmation email, which is sent automatically after you place your order.

We reserve the right to cancel an order, informing you and refunding the amounts paid in full, in situations such as: the item is out of stock, incomplete or incorrect delivery details, suspected fraud, or a delivery address outside the countries we ship to. You agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date details.

5. Payment

The available payment methods are shown at checkout. Online payments are processed through secure payment service providers; we do not store your card details. We issue a tax invoice for every order, sent electronically.

6. Delivery

We deliver by courier to 25 EU countries (we do not ship to Cyprus, Malta or outside the EU), in 2–11 business days depending on the country. Shipping costs depend on the country, and orders of €30 or more ship free (countries outside the eurozone have their own threshold, shown in the Shipping Policy). Full details are in the Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the carrier’s conditions.

7. Right of withdrawal and returns

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the products, under the conditions of GEO 34/2014 (Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014). For reasons of hygiene and health protection, under Article 16(e) of GEO 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does not apply to decants that have been opened after delivery. Products that are damaged, not as described or sent by mistake are replaced free of charge or refunded in full. The full conditions are in the Return Policy.

8. Legal guarantee of conformity

The products come with the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by Government Emergency Ordinance no. 140/2021. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes the rights that consumer protection legislation gives you.

9. Safe use of products

• Perfumes are cosmetic products for external use only.
• Flammable product: keep the decant away from open flames and heat sources.
• Avoid contact with the eyes and do not apply to irritated or broken skin.
• If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, check the perfume’s ingredient list and test the product on a small area of skin before use. Stop using it if a reaction appears and consult a doctor.
• Keep out of the reach of children.

10. Customer account

You can place orders without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity carried out through your account.

11. Reviews and comments

Reviews and comments published on the Site must be genuine, relate to your own experience, and must not contain offensive language, false information, illegal content or other people’s personal data. By publishing a review, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display it on the Site and in our promotional materials. We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these rules.

12. Intellectual property

The content of the Site (texts, our own photographs, graphics, the Decant Parfum logo) belongs to THE AXN SRL or its partners and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Reproducing, copying or using it commercially without our written consent is prohibited.

13. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices, and we recommend reading their terms before using them.

14. Prohibited uses

It is prohibited to use the Site for:

• unlawful or unauthorised purposes, or in breach of any applicable law;
• harassing, discriminating against or abusing other people;
• transmitting viruses or destructive code;
• collecting other users’ data without their consent;
• interfering with the functionality or security of the Site.

15. Limitation of liability

We make every effort to ensure that the Site works properly and that the information on it is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that the Site will work without interruptions or errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage resulting from a temporary inability to use the Site. This limitation does not apply to liability for the products delivered and does not affect your rights as a consumer.

16. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failing to perform its contractual obligations if this is caused by an event of force majeure, under the conditions set by law.

18. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Any disagreement will be settled amicably. If that is not possible, you can turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), to the Alternative Dispute Resolution (SAL) procedure, or to the competent courts in Romania.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.

20. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page, and each order is governed by the Terms in force on the date it is placed.
